OVERLAND PARK, KS (September 26, 2011) – The CARSTAR Nation gathered in Seattle to celebrate its 22nd anniversary and honor its top performing stores and representatives across the United States.
At the annual awards ceremony held Sunday night at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center, CARSTAR CEO David Byers toasted each winner on stage and presented their award.
In the categories for top operations, five CARSTAR stores were honored. The winners included:
Franchisee of the Year
Jeff Middleton, owner of Exhibition Automotive CARSTAR in Kent, WA., accepts his award.
Taking home the top honor as the Franchisee of the Year was Exhibition Automotive CARSTAR in Kent, WA, owned by Jeff Middleton. Franchisee of the Year is the highest award given in the CARSTAR system. The Franchisee of the Year represents the best of the best that is CARSTAR. This year’s winner was chosen on criteria including using all vendors possible, attending conference , being image compliant, submitting reports on time online, and delivering consistently high CSI in the Top Ten for the month and quarter periods.
Rookie of the Year
Lawrence Stewart Sr. of CARSTAR Olive Branch accepts CARSTAR Rookie of the Year award.
The Rookie of the Year in the CARSTAR family was CARSTAR Olive Branch, in Olive Branch, MS, owned by Lawrence Stewart Jr. This award is given in recognition of the newest CARSTAR franchisees as they get “up and running” with CARSTAR.
To qualify for the award, a franchisee must have been with CARSTAR less than three years, be well underway of achieving Tier 1 compliance and enthusiastically embrace the CARSTAR culture with active participation.
This year’s winner joined CARSTAR in 2010 and has embraced the CARSTAR culture.
Outstanding Facility Performance
The award for Outstanding Facility Performance went to Champion CARSTAR Collision in Hightstown, NJ, owned by Paul Edgcomb. The award for Outstanding Facility Performance is the second highest Franchisee Award in CARSTAR. This award recognizes the facility that consistently shows high ratings in Sales, Gross Profits, CSI, COS, Tier compliance and active involvement both in the community and within CARSTAR.
Outstanding Technician Performance
The honor for Outstanding Technician Performance was awarded to Highway CARSTAR Collision in Chagrin Falls, OH, owned by Frank Lanza. The award for Outstanding Technician is given to the facility that produced the most hours and dollars per technician as indicated on the monthly flash reporting with all 12-months reporting.
Outstanding Office Performance
Procraft CARSTAR in Great Falls, Mont. wins the Outstanding Office Performance award.
The award for Outstanding Office Performance again went to Procraft CARSTAR in Great Falls, Mont. owned by Steve Howard, who also won in 2010. The award for Outstanding Office Performance is given to the facility that produces the most hours and dollars per front office personnel as indicated on the monthly flash reporting with all 12-months reporting.
