OVERLAND PARK, KS (July 26, 2012) – Community involvement and recycling are two motivations driving the August 8 open house event at Auto Body Xperts CARSTAR – Hudsonville in Hudsonville, MI.
John Schout and Robert Arnoldink, owners of the 64-year-old collision center, have worked with State Farm, PPG Industries and LKQ of West Michigan to refurbish a 2009 Toyota Sienna minivan that will be donated to a local Special Olympics group during the open house.
Area 12 of Special Olympics Michigan (SOMI) comprises Ottawa and Allegan Counties and currently serves 490 Special Olympics athletes in sports as varied as alpine skiing, track and field, soccer and weightlifting. The specially wrapped Toyota will transport competitors and their equipment to events throughout the state.
Representatives from each of the participating companies and SOMI will attend the unveiling ceremony, held at 11 a.m. at Auto Body Xperts CARSTAR – Hudsonville. The open house event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
